Besham

Pakistan Besham is a small town in a deep, deep valley. It's a fork off the Karakorum highway, where an older road follows the original intended route over to the Swat valley.
For me it was a matter of arriving on an overnight bus at 6am, then leaving at 7am on another one. The second one was more funny though; I kept falling asleep, but there was no room to rest, and so my head would just fall and loudly hammer itself against the window... I got a few strange looks.
