Thailand More a transport stopover than a destination in and of itself, Chumpon is a jumping off point to both the Thai gulf islands, and where you split to head over to the Andaman coast.
Farang bar is a passable place to stay (free wifi rocks), but don't even think about eating there. Just down the road is a the local market, with good cheap food and coffee.
