Jiayuguan

China Jiayuguan was on our list as a convenience stop, and also as an opportunity to see some of the Great Wall. The town isn't exciting and the wall a poor reconstruction, so skip the place if possible.
The Wumao Binguan was where we crashed in town, cramming three into the two-bed common room as no dorms were present, contrary to the information in the guidebook. At 100, the room wasn't bad, with TV, western toiled and private bathroom (hot water 9pm to 11pm).
