Kandovan

Iran Similar to places around Capodocia in Turkey, the village of Kandovan features many houses carved out of soft volcanic rock. You can get here by a combination of minivan and savari from Tabriz, although you may have to wait for a while to catch the same ride back again.
There's nowhere to stay here, unless you can arrange a homestay with someone.
