Pakistan Sitting high on the hills above Islamabad and Rawalpindi, Murree is one of the most popular holiday spots for the more well of Pakistani family. Actually, that really puts it well outside of the normal backpackers budget as well; finding a hotel room is no problem; finding a room under 1000 Rs per night is something of a challenge however.
The views are pleasant, and the temperature is a welcome relief after the heat of the plains, but there's not a lot to do up here. Pass through, check it out, and head on towards the north.
