New Delhi is as hot and crowded as you'd expect. The pollution isn't as bad as I feared, and it isn't really all that dirty. Noisy though.

Finding a hotel is easy in the Paharganj Bazar area, throw a stone and it'll bounce off at least two of them. Just be sure to shake off all your touts before visiting one, the price will climb rapidly if they're even in sight...
