Sinaia

Romania Sinia is nestled in a deep valley and has nearby skiing. Looks a cute as anything place to stay, but there's not enough snow to tempt me this year; that said, some of the roads are still more ice than anything else.
It's only a 4 Lei ride from Brasov though, and well worth a day trip. The ride is beautiful, especially near Sinaia, and there's the Tepes palace as well, photos of which can be seen on this page.
