Things to Do in Ubon Ratchatani
Ubon Ratchatani
Just a stopover point for us, Ubon Ratchatani seems to attract less farang attention than many places, and the people are more welcoming for it.
The market is not far from the train station, and a good place to pick up a snack for your train trip :)

Location:Ubon RatchataniPrice:FreeA set of rapids here is the main attraction. Apparently they used to go tubing down here at certain times of the year, but my friends weren't certain that it was still permitted. There's not much else of interest, but it's worth stopping off and having a look anyway.
Two Coloured River
elyobo — Sat, 20/06/2009 - 3:46am
Location:Ubon RatchataniPrice:FreeThe Moon and Mekong rivers combine here, blending their two distinct colours. The visibility of the colours will depend on the amount of recent rain; too much rain and the colours are all a muddy brown! Head out as far as you can, into the Wat at the end, to get the best views.
