Things to Do in Kerman

It could be that I've been in Iran too long, but there doesn't seem to be that much to do in Kerman. The city is hot and sprawling, located almost smack bang in the desert as it is.
We holed up in the Omid Inn, a triple room for 70,000 with friendly staff. Apparently the last New Zealanders passed through the Omid two years ago!
The lonely planet lists nearby sites out of town, but I have the itch for a new country now and am keen to dash straight to the Pakistan border. Still, with the bus system herewe probably can't reach it tomorrow, so to Zahedan we shall go.
