Places to Stay in Xi'an
Xi'an
Xi'an is another of China's big cities, hidden away and unknown to most of the world. Six and a half million strong, it's unusually pleasant for a city of this size (I have a bias perhaps, coming from NZ, where we don't have big cities).
The Arm of the Terracotta Warriors is the most famous drawcard nearby, and it is well worth seeing. A walk along the city walls from the south gate to the east, then along to the Temple of the Eight Immortals is well recommended also; not least because the Temple has some of the best toilets in all of China.
