Places of Interest in Alexandria
Alexandria
Although it's not given much of a writeup by the guidebooks, Alexandria is definitely a worthwhile stopover, especially if you're on a longer trip. The city has a somewhat western feel to it, and due to the lack of international tourism the touts are few on the ground and reasonably laid back.

Brazilian Coffee
elyobo — Fri, 27/03/2009 - 12:10pm
Location:AlexandriaReasonably good western style coffee at close to Egyptian prices. Downstairs standing is the cheapest option, then take away, then upstairs seating. Food is acceptable, but a good strategy is to grab the chocolate croissants from Delice down the road and consume with coffee while standing here!
