Hama
Pleasant, clean and quiet, Hama is an ideal base to visit the Dead Cities to the north. Accommodation, during the spring season at least, is rather steep though.

Location:HamaThere are a few coffee and nargileh places along here which are pleasant to hang out at in the evening. It'd be even more pleasant if the water were running, but what can you do... We enjoyed the outdoor place with the massive courtyard, although one waiter did try to overcharge us, so bear in mind that tea and coffee should cost no more than 25 SYP each.
