Things to Do in Trabzon
Trabzon
Trabzon is a surprisingly appealing city on the Black Sea coast in the far North East of Turkey. The main drawcard is the impressive Sumela Monastery nearby, but there are some other sights around the town (although we had no time to see them) and the town itself, with a relaxing town square and plenty of eateries, encourages you to sit down and take your time.

Location:TrabzonPrice:8 YTL or free for studentsThe drive out would probably be worth it, even without the monastery itself. Steep forested valleys with roarings torrents in the bottom. The monastery is more impressive from the outside than the inside, although the frescos are very impressive.
Entrance is 8 YTL, but free with an ISIC card (it's a UNESCO site).
