Madyan
Madyan is around the middle of the beautiful Swat Valley. At least, beautiful for us; the temperature is a blessed something-that-doesn't-make-me-sweat-while-I'm-not-moving anyway. That aside, steep terraced mountains, furiously rushing rivers and plenty of trees and greenery.
The well known Carvan's Guesthouse here was closed when we arrived, but the Madyan Guesthouse is an excellent replacement.

80/120/200-300 for dorm/single/double Friendly and clean, with great food available at reasonable rates, this a good alternative to the well known Carvan's Guesthouse (which was closed when we arrived). Check out their rates and other details on the Madyan Guesthouse website.
