Chitral doesn't have a lot going for it; it's basically one large bazaar. The surroundings are great though, and it's a good launching point to get to the Kalasha Valleys, such as Rumbur.

The Al Farooq hotel seems to attract the most foriegn travellers; it's reasonably cheap and has some decent travel information. Also, there's decent net up a ladder and across the road; look for the sign.
