OnTheRoad

Ah, been a while since I last posted, hasn't it? Not so much has happened... my brain hurts less, due to increased computer code understanding (it's been a while since I did real programming work). I've turned 25, played squash, hobbled like an old man afterwards due to my gammy leg. Climbed hills. Walked and biked places. Did lots of work (or so it seemed to me!).

But the time has come to move on from dear Martin. It's a cosy little place and I kind of envy the students here, I could hang out in this place for a long time I think. Of course, the students here seem to be under permanent stress from exams / tests / dissections and God-only-knows-what-else, so perhaps it isn't so fun for them :) Hopefully I will make it back here for some boarding during the winter.

So today I head further north again, up to Krakow I think. Meant to be nice, but apparently getting up there in the prices again. After Bratislava, I'm a little cautious; talking to people who'd been staying in hostels in London recently - you can get cheaper accomodation in London. I mean, what the fuck is that about? London cheaper than Bratislava? Anyhow, brief stay in Krakow, get in, get out and all that. We'll see.

After that, I'm hoping to go west, to the deceptively named (to the English speaking person) Wroclaw, pronounce Vrotswaf. Meant to be beautiful and cheap. Sounds like my kind of place. If nice, hang there for a while, do some work, eat some Polish food.

From there (and I know, this is an unusual amount of planning for me...) I'll head north-east to Warsaw, jump on a dirt cheap plane and fly to Barcelona via Frankfurt to meet up with Toby for a few days. Thereafter... well, it seems likely that'll be about time to head up into France and go find work. Bring on the SNOW!
