In between the occasional bout of working and the odd application for a job, I've been reworking my travel site (while fondly remembering my travels). There were a few things that I was looking to improve on, and I think the new site does this better.

Most interesting, to me anyway, is the ability to tag images, giving a range of ways to access them. I haven't tagged all of them yet (or even a sizeable number of them - did I really take that many of them?!), but you can see them in the Categories section. Each image can have multiple tags, so it will be seen in each applicable category. Gradually all the photos will be in there and you'll be able to find things easily - including, for example, photos which contain me. This seemed to be a common problem for my mother, a lack of photos of me; now you'll be able to find them easily!

Another feature is the ability to vote on pictures. You do need to be logged in for this, so try logging in with your old account. If you can't remember the password, just get a new one.

You can easily access a list of all the Posts I've made, sort by title, location or time posted. Likewise, Locations that I've visited, or even see when and how I visited them in the Visits section. Note that there's a lot of information to be added in there as well; for other travellers, the travel method, time and cost will be added as well - where I can remember! Unfortunately I didn't take all that information down, although I will be adding that for any future trips.

Of course, setting this sort of thing up does take quite a lot of time that I should really be spending doing something productive. To help fund me in my tinkering, feel free to click an advert or two down the bottom!
