Hola folks, Merry Christmas, Happy New Year and so on and so on.

Quickly checking in to update you all on my travel plans; I'm taking the longest single train journey of my trip (still nothing on you crazy bastards that have done the trans-siberian), so 25 hours of trains from this afternoon I will arrive in Sofia, Bulgaria. Hopefully from here I will be able to scam some sort of snowboarding, it may not be the best, but Borovets, Bansko and Pamporovo are all open, at least. I'm hoping Vitosha (right next to Sofia) will manage to open up while I'm there as well, it's in easy striking distance from the city so I can hang out in cheap accommodation, rather than resort costs.

I'm also going to try to convince a few other folk to come up to the mountains with me. I've found some cheap deals online for apartments in Bansko, it works out cheaper than most of the hostels I can find :) And half of them seem to come with a sauna!
