Middle East Jordan doesn't have all the attractions of Syria or Egypt, but what it has is well worth checking out. Petra is possibly the most impressive thing I've ever seen and the desert at Wadi Musa is spectacular (or so I'm told - a few more weeks and I'll let you know for sure).
