One of my favourite places in the world; incredibly good food, friendly people and beautiful scenery. I'm not really one for big cities, but after a while Bangkok grows on you - although it helps to get out from the busier areas to somewhere more relaxing every once in a while!

30 day visas on arrival are available to what seems like anybody at all airports, but the government has reduced this to 15 days at land borders. Just to keep things complex, you can only stay on these visa classes for a maximum of 90 days out of 180, in an attempt to prevent people living in Thailand long term without acquiring a real visa.
