Alexandria The original Library of Alexandria, the greatest ever known, has long since been destroyed, but the modern replacement is worth checking out. Free tours run periodically throughout the day, ask at the information desk when you get in. The student discounts aren't advertised for the main entrance ticket (10 EGP / students 5 EGP) but ask and you'll get it.
