Jatujak Market

elyobo — Sat, 27/12/2008 - 9:44pm

Location:
Bangkok

Jatujak (or Chatuchak) Market operates on Saturdays and Sundays only, and is Bangkok's biggest market. Goods of all sorts abound, as well as many small food, drink and coffee places. You'll find household wares, artwork, clothing of all types, shoes, pets and just about anything else here as well. Prices are a little higher than at other places, in the main, and bargaining is harder, but there are still some very good deals around and the selection is good.

Both BTS and MRT come here, with Kamphaeng Phet the best stations for both, although Chatuchak MRT/BTS stations are also close.

Things kick off around 10am and go on through to 5pm.

The market itself is massive, so if you're looking for something in particular check out a map.
