Sumela Monastery

Trabzon The drive out to Sumela Monastery would probably be worth it, even without the monastery itself. Steep forested valleys with roarings torrents in the bottom. The monastery is more impressive from the outside than the inside, although the frescos are very impressive.
Entrance is 8 YTL, but free with an ISIC card (it's a UNESCO site).
