Wat Khao Angkhan

Although it's not really such an exciting destination, the ride here is kind of fun. The road here was the second most potholed road that I've ever ridden (that honour belonging to a certain road up on the Bolaven Plateau in Southern Laos), but I found an easier way back.
If you can find it, the Wat is located on top of a hill (Khao is mountain, as well as various other meanings) and has some great artwork in the main Wat, apparently painted by a couple of Cambodian immigrants. Less stylised and more realistic looking than most temple art, the various scenes from the Buddhas life are worth a good looking over. Interestingly, the scenes are also described in English, for those of us who have limited Thai.
