Wat Phra Mahathat

Ayuthaya A large compound so strewn with stupas, buddhas, prangs and whatnot that I assumed it was compiled from various sites, Wat Phra Mahathat was the most interesting of the various ruins in Ayuthaya. Be sure to wander around the compound at night, as various monuments are lit up.
Entrance is 50 baht for foreigners, and is worth the fee.
