With three massive Ayuthaya style chedis, Wat Phra Si Sanphet provides one of the most common Ayuthaya photographs (you'll see my rendition in the Ayuthaya section). The complex is build on the former royal palace site, and has lasted better than the Royal Palace itself (which is now only foundations, and not of much interest).

Entrance is, I think, 50 baht, but you can probably get a good feel from the outside if you're sick of the foreigner pricing - Wat Phra Mahathat and Wat Ratburana are more worth your money.
