North of Wat Phra Mahathat, Wat Ratburana is a smaller compound, but overall in better condition. The main prang is interesting for the two smaller chambers in which various valuables were originally buried. Descend the steep steps to check them out, although little remains aside from some faded murals in the bottom chamber.

Entrance is 50 baht for foreigners.
